This Privacy Policy describes how SIMBMS ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the SIMBMS web application, the SIMECO module, or the SIMBMS Lite Chrome extension (collectively, the "Services").
1. Information We Collect
Web Application (SIMBMS & SIMECO)
- Account information: Name, email address, and password (hashed) when you register.
- Organization data: Business name, address, and configuration settings you provide.
- Business records: Sales, invoices, payroll, HR records, inventory, and other data you enter into the system.
- Payment information: Subscription payments are processed by WiPay. We do not store full card numbers; only transaction references and status are retained.
- Usage data: Browser type, IP address, pages visited, and session timestamps collected automatically for security and performance purposes.
- Cookies and sessions: Authentication cookies and session tokens to keep you securely signed in.
Chrome Extension (SIMBMS Lite)
- Local browser storage only: The extension stores data exclusively in your browser's local storage (
chrome.storage.local). No data is transmitted to our servers. - Permissions used: The extension requests only the permissions necessary to provide its offline functionality (e.g., storage, active tab). It does not access your browsing history or other websites.
- No personal data transmitted: We do not collect, receive, or process any personal data through the Chrome extension.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Services.
- To process subscription payments and send billing-related communications.
- To authenticate users and maintain account security.
- To respond to support requests and inquiries submitted via the Contact Us form.
- To send service announcements, updates, or security notices when necessary.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
- WiPay: Payment processing for paid subscription plans. WiPay's own privacy policy governs data shared with them during payment.
- Hosting infrastructure: Our servers are hosted on cloud infrastructure. Data is stored and processed within secured environments.
- Google Chrome Web Store: The SIMBMS Lite extension is distributed through the Chrome Web Store. Google's policies apply to the distribution and installation process.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, unless retention is required by law. Data stored locally by the Chrome extension is controlled entirely by you and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication tokens, hashed passwords, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; however, we take all reasonable steps to protect your information.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Withdraw consent for non-essential communications at any time.

Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the SIMBMS web application, the SIMECO module, or the SIMBMS Lite Chrome extension (collectively, the "Services") operated by SIMBMS. By accessing or using any of the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or installing the Chrome extension, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be legally bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Description of Services
Web Application (SIMBMS & SIMECO)
SIMBMS is a cloud-based business management platform for small and micro businesses offering modules including sales, CRM, bookkeeping, payroll, HR, e-commerce, and file management. SIMECO is an e-commerce module within the SIMBMS platform. Access is provided under the subscription plan you select.
Chrome Extension (SIMBMS Lite)
SIMBMS Lite is a free browser extension that provides basic business management functionality offline within your browser. It operates entirely locally and does not require an account or internet connection after installation.
3. Subscriptions & Billing
The web application is offered under the following plans:
- SIMBMS Lite (Chrome Extension): Free — no subscription required.
- Cloud Basic: $34.50/month or $351.90/year (billed annually).
- Cloud Premium: $49.50/month or $504.90/year (billed annually).
Payments are processed securely via WiPay. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
4. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- Each account may only represent one organization unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, systems, or networks.
- Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or any other malicious code.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services.
- Resell or sublicense the Services without our express written consent.
- Misuse the Chrome extension to circumvent security or monitoring systems.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, software, and materials comprising the Services are the property of SIMBMS or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for your internal business purposes only.
7. Data Ownership
You retain ownership of all data you upload or create within the Services. By using the Services, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Services to you.
8. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control may result in temporary downtime. We are not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to access the Services ceases immediately. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access will continue until the end of the current billing period.
10. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be error-free or that defects will be corrected.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SIMBMS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Jamaica. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
